HoYoVerse has released information about Mika, who will be Cryo Polearm’s new four-star character in Genshin Impact. He will be a support-oriented character like Shenhe. (She’ll be one of five stars, one of his first two banners.) There’s also a trailer that focuses on who he is and how he fights.

Mika has already appeared in Genshin Impact during some of the Mondstadt-centric events. He is a surveyor for the Knights of Favonius, which means he works closely with Eula. As such, his gear is a good match for his. Her elemental ability Starfrost Swirl can grant the party the Soulwind buff, which increases their attack speed and physical damage. Although he is a Polearm user, you can hold down the elemental ability button to enter aiming mode.

His song Elemental Burst Skyfeather can heal the group. Like Qiqi’s Burst, characters with Skyfeather Song’s Eaglefeather will only heal if they hit a normal attack while the buff is active. Mika seems to work best as a support for Eula, who is a physical attack oriented cryo character. Both being Cryo will grant you Cryo Resonance, which passively increases your crit rate.

In Japanese, Yuko Sanpei voices Mika. Some of his best-known roles include Boruto Uzumaki from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Nozomi Yumehara from Yes! Precure 5 GoGo! and Selim Bradley in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. He is voiced by Robb Moreira in English. Moreira has previously appeared in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty as Zhang Bao and as Sakunosuke Oda in Bungo and Alchemist.

Genshin Impact is available for PS4, PS5, Windows PC and mobile devices. Mika will debut in Genshin Impact as a 4-star in Ayaka and Shenhe’s Replay Banners, which will be released on March 21, 2023.
