The next major Sim Update 4 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is getting closer. As the developers of Asobo Studio announced in a recent blog entry, everything is going according to plan – and the patch can be released in the next week.
“Our team is currently in the finalization work on the Sim Update 4, it will be released in the next week,” write the makers. The developers had already announced a specific release date in a previously published roadmap.
If there is no longer any delay, the patch will be available for download for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 from May 25th.
The specific patch notes with all changes and innovations are not yet available and will probably not be submitted until the update release.
As soon as we get more information, you will find out as usual on our website. The feedback snapshots published regularly by the developers provide the first indications of the upcoming optimizations.
The program includes optimizations for the live weather and wind data, some of which were recently not accurately reproduced.
In addition, there are problems with the autopilot on the Garmin G1000 / G3000. In addition, the developers want to tackle the sometimes exaggerated ice effects and individual logic errors in the turboprop engine in Sim Update 4.
The priority list also includes the causes of crashes that trigger a crash back to the desktop – without displaying an error message. Asobo Studio wants to submit a fix as soon as possible. New content is due for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 in June, when the developers want to publish World Update 5.
Players can look forward to new, more detailed data for countries in Northern Europe – such as Sweden, Finland and Norway.
