Still with the controversy over the merger agreement with Activision Blizzard King, Microsoft announced a new strategic alliance with Boosteroidthe largest cloud service provider in Ukraine.

The agreement between the two parties will be for 10 years and will allow Ukraine’s largest independent cloud gaming provider to have Activision Blizzard titles such as Call of Duty in its catalog. An agreement in line with those already signed with Nintendo, NVIDIA and Steam.

Microsoft assures that this agreement will be used to provide direct support to the Ukrainian supplier, which has some 4 million users. This is not new since Microsoft has been supporting and positioning itself with Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion of the country.

Brad Smith, President of Microsoft Corporation, said: “This partnership adds to the $430 million in technology and financial assistance we have provided to Ukraine since Russia’s illegal invasion, and illustrates the steps that we will continue to take to support the 160,000 Ukrainian software developers”. .

In addition, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming and Xbox also assured that “We believe in the power of video games to unite people. Bringing Xbox PC games to Boosteroid members, including Activision Blizzard titles like Call of Duty once the agreement reached is one more step towards realizing this vision.”
