Raised by multiple rumors for a few months now, Metroid Prime Remastered was finally made official during last night’s Nintendo Direct, with a slow release on the Nintendo Switch.
Like every February for several years now, Nintendo gave us a new issue of its Nintendo Direct yesterday, full of announcements to say the least.. Indeed, for more than 40 minutes, the Japanese giant revealed what awaits Nintendo Switch owners throughout 2023, and more particularly during the first half. And if some highly anticipated titles were unfortunately missing, like Metroid Prime 4 for example, others landed to everyone’s surprise.
¡Metroid Prime Remastered available on Nintendo Switch!
This is particularly the case for Metroid Prime Remastered which, after being widely rumored, finally went official last night. More than 20 years after its release on GameCube, the cult title from Retro Studios is coming to Switch in a remastered version for the occasion. Reworked graphics, improved audio, additional artwork to unlock, and new control options are on the program for this new version, which will allow fans and neophytes to (re)immerse themselves in Samus’ first 3D adventure.
And since good news never comes alone, like a RUSH Hi-Fi recently, the title was entitled to a release following its announcement. So you can get it now for €39.99 on the Nintendo eShop, only the digital version being available for the moment. But rest assured, collectors, a physical release has also been announced for March 3, 2023, just under a month away. If you loved Metroid Dread in 2021, now you can extend the adventure with Metroid Prime Remastered.
