Battlefield
Battlefield has been one of Electronic Arts’ top franchises for decades. Most Battlefield games get good reviews and are well received by the community. This applies not only to the main Battlefield series, but also to the spin-offs, with the most successful Battlefield spin-offs being the Bad Company titles.
Battlefield: Bad Company and its sequel, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, stand out from the rest of the series for their unique narrative, sense of humor, and character focus.
Battlefield: Bad Company 3
It’s absolutely frustrating for fans that EA is still not working on a Battlefield: Bad Company 3, especially considering the huge success of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. While EA hasn’t made any official announcements about a new Battlefield: Bad Company yet, rumors have been lingering for years that EA plans to bring the series back.
Some reports suggested that a Battlefield: Bad Company remaster was even in active development, but those plans have allegedly been put on hold. If the rumors are to be believed, the Battlefield: Bad Company remaster was in the works at DICE LA, but development stopped when Vince Zampella of Respawn Entertainment took over the reins.
SAYS THE
Now, DICE LA is believed to be working on a project entirely of its own, and rumor has it that the studio may even change its name when it finally unveils its new game.
According to recent reports, EA is aware of the demand for Battlefield: Bad Company 3, but they are unsure and wary of when it will decide to bring the franchise back.
The next Battlefield game doesn’t have a name right now and is expected to take full advantage of the next-gen PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles and propel the franchise to unprecedented heights.
