Today, indie game studio Donkey Crew unveiled their latest project, Bellwright, an immersive open-world survival adventure set in a medieval world of revolution and conquest. Slated for release on PC via Steam later this year, Bellwright will allow players to experience a gripping story in an engrossing time, establishing colonies, uncovering mysteries and conquering the kingdom.
In Bellwright, players go into hiding after being framed for the prince’s murder and sentenced to death by the Crown. After narrowly escaping an assassination attempt, players uncover a mysterious assassin contract, raising questions about their whereabouts and possible plans behind it. Determined to uncover the truth, players return to the very place from which they escaped, leading a rebellion against the sovereign oppressor of their homeland and revealing the truth about their family’s secret.
Throughout the game, players will establish and expand their settlements, liberate their lands, and recruit allies to their cause, discovering more about their past lives. These recruits will help players gather resources and strength to resist the Crown.
