What is spectator mode and how to use it

Spectator mode is one of the many game modes in Minecraft, and this one will surprise you how much it will help you in the game. This mode will allow you to fly freely around the map, even through blocks, but you won’t be able to kill enemies or pick up items. On top of that, you will be invisible in this mode and you won’t have to worry about your health, hunger or sleep. Finally, monsters won’t attack you in this mode, which makes it very easy to explore without any risk. Here’s how to use the mode.

First, make sure Minecraft Bedrock is updated to at least version 1.19.50 or higher. It pays to check for a pending update to make sure everything is working properly. Once you have an updated version, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure cheats are enabled in the Minecraft world if you want to use spectator mode. You can do this by going to the game settings in the pause menu and simply activating “Enable Hints”
  2. Now, once you are back in your world, open the chat option, which you can do by pressing “T” in Windows
  3. In the chat type the following command: /game mode spectator
  4. You will now be in spectator mode and can safely explore the world.
