The wrestling simulation video game WWE 2K23 has its quirks, to say the least. Yes, many of the movement mechanics are easy to understand, thanks to the button mash layout that allows users to easily generate an offense with an Xbox or PlayStation controller. However, there are more advanced maneuvers that require a bit more specific handling. One of these moves involves jumping over the middle rope, a key to landing certain moves and finishing moves in 2K23. So how can you jump rope in the middle in WWE 2K23? Let’s review what you need to know.

Jump rope in the middle in WWE 2K23
To jump rope in the middle in WWE 2K23, you will first need to head to a corner of the ring. Move the fighter near a corner to initiate movement.
From there, click RB (for Xbox) or R1 (PlayStation) to jump to the middle rope. Once done, you can launch an attack with A/X on the Xbox family of consoles, or X/Square for PlayStation owners. Or, RT/R2 + X/Square can be clicked for a signature that requires the use of the middle string. Medium string based finishes can be done with RT/R2 + A/X.
It should be noted that the use of the middle rope is quite important for The Legacy part of MyRise in WWE 2K23. Fictional former WWE Women’s Champion Justine used a mid-rope finisher called Justine Jammer in her move arsenal, and you’ll need to recreate her signature move at different points in history. So be sure to master this mechanic in 2K23.
