The vendor you need to buy Miniature Aetheryte in Final Fantasy XIV is actually not hard to find. Once you’ve advanced far enough in the game to commit to a large company, you’ll begin to gain ranks with them and gain access to their Quartermasters.
You can find the Miniature Aetheryte in your Grand Company Quartermaster in the Materials section of the third tab. It is relatively inexpensive, costing only 14,470 Grand Company Seals. These are easily obtained through Grand Company Hunts or by delivering materials to your Grand Company.
The only downside to being able to buy the miniature Aetheryte is that you have to reach the rank of Second Lieutenant with your Grand Company. This is easily done by completing your quest and quest tiles. Once you reach the required rank, the third tab will open for you.
