Luckily, there’s a flashlight you can locate to make your life easier when exploring these dark caverns. It is a useful tool to fight against mutants and cannibals. This is what you need to know to find the lantern in Sons of the Forest.
Where to find the lantern in Sons of the Forest
The Lantern is in a unique place. Instead of being on the ground or inside a tent, it will be on a body. The body will be on a cliff near a small camp, where you can find a handful of bodies with an ax in their chest. There will be another body on the ridge, overlooking this area, not too far. You should see a body hanging from a rope at your location.

You will need something to cut the body of the string. You can use the modern ax you found or the ax you started the game with. The body will fall to the ground and now you can loot the lantern in the body.
Like the lighter, you can hold it in your left hand while holding a larger item in your main hand, such as an axe, spear, or other weapon. It’s important to note that the flashlight is battery powered, so we don’t recommend using it too often unless you have a handful of batteries in your bag to keep it powered.
