Diablo IV features a slightly more complicated character creator than its predecessors. Although players can choose from several different face sculpts and hair styles, there is a way to change their appearance in Diablo IV. That said, this only affects less permanent options like makeup, jewelry, and branding. These can be changed after completing the game prologue and heading to Kyovashad.
You can change your appearance in Diablo IV by going to the Cloakroom icon on your map. From there, you can select the “Appearance” tab to adjust whatever you want. Again, you can’t change your face, hair, or skin color, which limits you a bit. Fortunately, these minor adjustments can be made without costing any gold.
You can see where you can access Kyovashad’s wardrobe and what the “Appearance” menu looks like below.
However, the wardrobe also has a secondary purpose. Players can also create a “Set”. These work the same way as the Glamor plates in final fantasy xiv. For those unfamiliar with this system, you can effectively create a look that won’t change even if you equip different gear. This means that you don’t have to go back to a specific NPC to transmog the appearance of your new items each time you equip something new. You can also choose the color of specific pieces of your outfit and apply them to your gear completely free. However, opening new “Together” slots will cost gold.
Diablo IV will launch on June 6, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and its Early Access Beta Weekend will run from March 17-20, 2023. The Open Beta will run from March 24-27, 2023.
