Sons of the Forest is the latest game from developer Endnight Games, the same studio behind the hit horror game The Forest. In Sons of the Forest, you are sent on a mission to find a missing billionaire who is believed to be on a remote island. What should be a simple rescue mission quickly turns ugly when you discover that the inhabitants of said island are cannibals. To survive, you’ll need to build and craft with the resources you find on the island and battle the monstrous creatures that roam the island.
Just like The Forest, you can experience the game alone, but you can also play with others, be it strangers or your friends. After all, there is power in numbers. Although many players wonder, how many players can play Sons of Forest?

Maximum lobby size for Sons of the Forest
If you’re looking to play a multiplayer game in Sons of the Forest, you can have a game with up to eight players. You can organize your own private lobby with friends, limiting the player capacity of two players to a maximum of eight and setting the mode each will play in. You can also have a public server that anyone can join. Alternatively, you can join one of the various public lobbies that are on the server list.

Unfortunately, if you’re looking to play with players on different consoles, you won’t be able to as the game doesn’t have crossplay. But there is a chance that crossplay will be added to the game in the future as it is under active development.
