This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate will be the last time Harrison Ford dresses up as famed archaeologist and explorer Henry Jones III. But despite the fact that it has been said many times, we have never finished believing it (because the same thing has already been said with The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). But yes, this time it’s the last.
Speaking to Total Film (thanks, GamesRadar), Ford confirmed that he’s definitely hanging up his hat and whipping this year when the film opens on June 30.
“This is the last movie in the series, and it’s the last time I’ll play the character. I anticipate this will be the last time I appear in a movie,” Ford said.
He went a step further to add: “I was able to make some amazing films with Steven (Spielberg) and George (Lucas) over a span of 40 years, and to end it not with a moan, but with a bang, was my biggest ambition for this journey. “
While the exact plot information for this fifth and likely final main episode of the series is still being kept under wraps, several trailers have already been released, the latest of which you can find below.
