Due to the delay of his debut in Genshin Impact, it is quite easy for older players to farm ascension materials for Mika. In fact, chances are that most players who have Mika also have all of his stuff. Since Mika is from Mondstadt, most of his ascension materials come from that region.

Here are the ascension materials you will need to use for Mika in Genshin Impact:

Ascent 1

  • 1 asilla of Shivada jade
  • 3 hooks
  • 3 rookie badges
  • 20,000 blackberries

Ascent 2

  • 3 Shivada jade shards
  • 10 hooks
  • 15 rookie badges
  • 2 pseudo-stamens
  • 40,000 blackberries

Ascent 3

  • 6 Shivada jade shards
  • 20 hooks
  • 12 sergeant badges
  • 4 pseudo-stamens
  • 60,000 blackberries

Ascent 4

  • 3 pieces of Shivada jade
  • 30 hooks
  • 18 sergeant badges
  • 8 pseudo-stamens
  • 80,000 blackberries

Ascent 5

  • 6 pieces of Shivada jade
  • 45 hooks
  • 12 lieutenant badges
  • 12 pseudostamens
  • 100,000 blackberries

Ascent 6

  • 6 Shivada jade gemstones
  • 60 hooks
  • 24 lieutenant badges
  • 20 pseudo-stamens
  • 120,000 blackberries

In total, if you plan to promote Mika all the way, you will need 420,000 Mora, 46 Pseudo-Stamens, 168 Wolfhooks, 18 Recruit Badges, 30 Sergeant Badges, and 36 Lieutenant Badges. You can get Wolfhooks around Wolvendom in Mondstadt, and badges are drops from fatui enemies. Pseudostamens are the only materials exclusively outside of Mondstadt. You can get them from Setekh Wenut in the Sumeru Desert.

As for his Talents, Mika takes Ballade. Ballad Talent Books are available at Forsaken Rift on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. To fully maximize a talent, you will need:

  • 1,652,500 blackberries
  • 6 rookie badges
  • 22 sergeant badges
  • 31 Lieutenant Badge
  • 3 lessons from the ballad
  • 21 walking guides
  • 38 ballad philosophies
  • 6 mushin mirrors
  • 1 Crown of Insight

Mushin’s Mirror is a weekly boss drop in Shouki no Kami. While Mika doesn’t need to be super strong, it’s best to promote him to the max so you can upgrade his elemental ability. Mika’s ability to boost party attack speed is basically his bread and butter, so all you have to do is level it up.

Genshin Impact is available for PS4, PS5, Windows PC and mobile devices. As a four star, Mika will always be in the gacha.
