The first major in-person tournament of the Valorant Champions Tour 2023 wrapped up this weekend, when the teams finished battling it out in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a share of a $500,000 prize pool.

With this tournament now on the books, we have a winner to report, and finally it’s Fnatic. The team managed to defeat Loud in the final to claim a fifth of the prize pool and establish themselves as the team to beat not just in Europe, but around the world.

In their title chase, Fnatic ended up knocking out several world-class teams including Sentinels, Furia Esports, 100 Thieves, and Natus Vincere.

The win also saw the EU region receive an additional berth in the 2023 Masters tournament, to be held in Tokyo in June.

As for the continuation of the VCT, the EMEA League is expected to start at the end of this month and will continue until the end of May.
