Every time there is less left for the time when Final Fantasy XIV will make the leap to PS5 with a new version. Until then, anyone can see how the game looks thanks to an open beta that will be activated today on the new Sony console.
In this test phase all the improvements and novelties that this version has are already available, such as a resolution in 4K, a reduction in loading times when going from one place to another with fast travel and the possibility of reach 60 fps most of the time, although it is not ruled out that they can drop down to 40 fps at certain times if you opt for the highest resolution.
Another of its differences with PS4 is that it will use DualSense to improve the experience even more. In this sense, the haptic feedback will be noticed with the steps of the mounts or when executing certain actions. For its part, the adaptive triggers will only be used in very specific moments in which there are first-person missions.
Even so, best of all, anyone will be able to enter the world of Eorzea in full, since the beta will actually take place on the official servers , so PS5 users will see PS4 users at all times. Therefore, anyone who has already played on PS4 will be able to continue their game in the successor to this, while newcomers will be able to enjoy all the original content and the Heavensward expansion up to level 60.
For the rest, Square Enix has ensured that it will work on more updates to further improve the graphic section , something that will come little by little when Final Fantasy XIV arrives fully on PS5 soon.
