FIFA World Cup Heroes 23
Players had access to FIFA World Cup FUT Hero Cards from November 11, ten days before the start of the World Cup proper. Like the Icon Prime Moments cards, the World Cup cards depict a famous performance on the biggest stage in the world, specifically from FIFA 23 Heroes.
For example, Park Ji-Sung’s World Cup card could be based on his performance in the 2010 group stage match against Greece. Ji-Sung scored South Korea’s second goal of the game, becoming the first Asian player to score in three consecutive World Cup finals.
FIFA 23 Marvel Heroes
EA has partnered with Marvel to release unique comic book covers for each of the heroes in FIFA 23. Each hero comes with their own name and superhero costume. Landon Donovan’s cover features a Captain America-like costume with “The Brave” as his nickname, while Yaya Toure appears outside Etihad Stadium in a bronze suit with green accents; it was given the name “The Citadel”.
The collaboration also extends to tifos, kits and other in-game stadium accessories in FIFA 23 to show your pride in one of your heroes. Marvel will release a limited-edition comic featuring artwork for all FIFA 23 heroes, as well as written biographies of Marvel writers.
Availability of FIFA 23 heroes
FIFA 23 Heroes is available in Ultimate Team from launch. There were different types of Hero Cards in FIFA 22, so we expect to see different versions of these cards as FIFA 23 progresses. FUT Captain Hero Cards in FIFA 22 were released at the end of the football season, which gave each hero a card with a 90+ rating to match the game’s current power level.
