The Fens Sheriff’s Department mod has been released, adding new locations and double quests to Fallout 4.
Fallout 4 is already over 7 years old, but the game is alive and thriving thanks to an active modding community. One of the latest fruits of this collaboration is the mod called The Fens Sheriff’s Department, which was designed to resemble the official DLC in terms of size and quality. The project debuted in early February, and yesterday its author, MunkySpunk, released a new version, numbered 0.98.
The project expands Diamond City, introducing new locations and characters. Fifty new adventures await players, providing hours of fun. Interestingly, the mod also offers 17,500 lines of recorded dialogue. This is notable, as the presence of voice acting is rarely seen in fan projects.

The project also adds a new faction in the form of the titular Sheriff’s Department of Fens, maintaining order in the region, around which the plot of the entire mod revolves. An additional companion with its own story and quests is also available.
The project is a development of a mod popular years ago, called The Bleachers – A Diamond City Story, which was selected in Nexus Modse as the best mod of October 2019. All content from this project has been included in the upgraded version which is The Fens Sheriff’s Department, so no need to download the original.
The Fens Sheriff’s Department also implemented many other minor edits by this author. As a result, we get additional weapons and a bunch of new items for the workshop.
Recall that Fallout 4 was released in November 2015. The game is available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but The Fens Sheriff’s Department mod was only released for the PC edition.
