Techland, creators of Dying Light 2, have been talking about the development of their long-awaited game and providing information on next-gen consoles, DualSense features and more.
Dying Light 2 will arrive on December 7 to PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One and PC after a long wait. However, the hype for this delivery has remained during its development and now that the release date is approaching, its creators continue to share more information.
In an interview with MP1ST , Techland’s Lead Level Designer Piotr Pawlaczyk has provided some important details about next-gen versions, DualSense usage, and more in Dying Light 2 .
The new generation versions will feature two modes : For players who prefer visual experiences, we have prepared the Quality mode which, thanks to the use of ray tracing, has significantly improved the quality of the scene.
For those who appreciate smooth gameplay, we have prepared the Performance mode, which focuses on a high frame rate (60 FPS).
The team made it clear that Dying Light 2 will use the functions of the PS5 controller . The game will take advantage of DualSense, although only mention was made of adaptive triggers. Pawlaczyk made it clear that these features were an add-on and not a primary function of the game.
It seems that Techland has not wanted versions of previous consoles, PC or Xbox Series X to have great differences when playing, so we could expect the introduction of the DualSense to be complementary.
We want Dying Light 2 to provide a game at the highest level, regardless of what platform you have , the developer commented.
Apart from all this, the interview left us more details such as that Dying Light 2 will have a large number of easter eggs or that it will receive support like the long original Dying Light. About the crossplay nothing could be confirmed.
If you want to know more about the game, Dying Light 2 revealed new monsters and development details in the second episode of its web series . With zombie open world gangs?
