The Resident Evil 4 remake has already received a handful of mods, including one that lets you explore the Spanish Village a bit more from the demo.
The new version of Resident Evil 4 will be released in less than two weeks. However, it is still too long for some players and fans have already started modifying the demo version of RE4.
As often, the projects available on Nexus Mods are dominated by really weird or funny creations. A good number of them are mods that change Leon’s appearance, such as removing his shirt or adding a chicken head. Or make it a panda model or one that looks like the characters from the first PlayStation.
In the “joyful internet creativity” category, we can also mention a mod that turns Leon’s gun into a banana and the knife into a spoon. Unfortunately we don’t have a fork.
However, not all fan creations are curiosities. Among the many “wonders” available in Nexus Mods, there was one with a very practical effect. more church bell allows players to play the demo indefinitely.
Of course modder Praydog2 never unlocked the full game in the demo. His work simply ensures that the bell, whose sound is to announce the end of the game, never rings. This allows us to explore the whole city inhabited by cattle without haste..
As a bonus, the creator has included optional features. These include infinite ammo and stamina.
Church Bell No More requires the REFramework tool, as do most other mods in the Resident Evil 4 demo. The full version of the game will debut on March 24 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Passionate about video games (and others) for years, he completed an MBA in linguistics, defending a thesis on games. He started his adventure with GlobeLiveMedia in 2015, writing in the editorial department, then also covering movies and oh, horror! – technology (also a contributor to the Games Encyclopedia). He started with platform games, which he still loves (including metroidvania), but he also likes card games (including “analog” games), fighting games, soul games and virtually any other kind of game. Don’t ask about the graphics: after a few hours of exposure, you can revel in pixelated game characters reminiscent of the days of the Game Boy era (if not older).
