According to some comments on the Blizzard forums, Diablo IV literally burns some 3080 cards to death. Most gamers who reported the same have RTX 3080 Ti, implying that the issue is graphics card related. Players have noticed that a certain scene with flowers and a snowy landscape tends to be the location of the problem.
While some gamers noted that their graphics cards were working fine, they reported that the above scene caused issues on their computer. They fixed it by force restarting the PC or skipping the cutscene, implying that the problem is with Diablo IV and not just graphics cards. Some other players with 3080 graphics cards have reported small issues. They suggested that Diablo IV is not the problem. Rather, their computers had pre-existing issues and crashed while playing Diablo IV.
Although Diablo IV hasn’t been released yet, the early access beta version is. Aside from the above graphical issues, some players couldn’t even play the game. Fans complained about the long wait times over the weekend. Blizzard has asked players to stay in the queue so as not to reset their timers, although some players have complained of waiting for hours.
Diablo IV is in development and will be released on June 6, 2023 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC.
