Diablo IV’s first round of beta testing is slowly coming to an end. Although the state of the game leaves a lot to be desired, players seem happy with Blizzard’s latest creation.

As previously announced, Diablo IV beta testing began on Friday for those who decided to pre-purchase the game. Unsurprisingly, reports of issues immediately began popping up on the web, in the form of long queues. , server instability and in-game issues.

Despite the drawbacks (which, according to the developers, have been partially removed in a new update), gamers spare no warm words for the next installment of the iconic series.

advantage

By browsing the forums where fans of the brand gather, it is not difficult to find, among other things, opinions that the very beginning of the D4 campaign is much better than the whole story in Diablo III. Gamers loved (let’s not be afraid to use the word) the new installment so much that waiting for the full version of the game to come out will be even harder for them.

So, what else, apart from the gripping storyline, captivated the fans? Here are some examples of comments:

“The game is wonderful, the open world is complete and a big improvement over what we had in ‘D3’, the MMO elements are good and didn’t give me any problems, I always have something to do at at some point. I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time doing one thing over another. So it’s all good!” chyme ratio.

“It’s way better than I expected, to be honest I’m not 25 yet, but I really enjoy spending my time playing the main campaign and side quests. I play like a barbarian, and the skill tree seems solid with plenty of options.” The combat is really fluid, and what really captivated me was the cross-platform play. Suddenly, using a PC, I was able to play with my brother, who used a PS5”, notes Soppressata88.

“This is what Diablo III should look like,” says travtrav53.

“Love the music playing in the background while I’m in town (Kyovashad),” writes SirSantosII.

“Overall impressions are positive, better than Diablo III, but I played too little time to fully explore and evaluate it,” Katoshi notes.

Against

As you can see for yourself, there are a lot of positive reviews (although we have cited only a small part of them), but there are also various flies in this ointment.

Among the unfavorable reviews very often one can encounter objections that the camera is positioned too low and the inability to zoom out, which goes hand in hand with a large interface that obscures the image. On the other hand, according to the players, there is the excessive repetitiveness of the placeswhich gets boring after a while, and bad animations.

“I couldn’t wait to try it…and after the first day I left completely bored. I haven’t even finished exploring all the repetitive dungeons. The user interface of a studio as big as Blizzard is a joke,” Reklatzzzz points out.

“The animations didn’t captivate me either. MrLlama (streamer on Twitch – editor’s note) even made fun of the animation of the death of one of the bosses, and I couldn’t blame him. It seemed silly (it popped like a balloon). The UI is very bad,” templestate review.

Yes, it’s true, too close (see – editor’s note) and the user interface is too big. I feel like I’m looking at the interface of a mobile game,” says Rayuken1.

In summary, the first impressions of the players on Diablo IV suggest a very good achievement. If the developers at Blizzard analyze the feedback from the community and make the appropriate improvements, we could see the release of one of the best action RPGs of recent years.

Finally, we remind you that another round of beta testing Diablo IVthis time open to all players, it will run from March 24-26.. In turn, the launch of the full version of the game will take place on June 6, 2023. The title will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
