Believe it or not, Dead Island 2 has been around in one form or another for almost a decade, and the final Xbox release is just around the corner! Dambuster Studios’ colorful zombie game is coming to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on April 21, so the team decided to drop a substantial portion of the game ahead of launch.
The clip above shows 15 minutes of zombie-slaying action in the carnal interpretation of the game in Los Angeles; known as “HELL-A” in-game.
Speaking of super obvious names for things, this deep dive also takes a look at the game’s “FLESH” system, basically how Dead Island 2 reacts to slicing up zombie body parts. Any idea what that means? “Fully local evisceration system for humanoids”. We totally guessed it!
Anyway, silly acronyms aside, Dead Island 2 looks pretty good, we have to admit, especially after going through what most would consider “development hell” since its premiere. reveal in 2014. Hopefully, everything will fall into place when the game finally launches for real on April 21, 2023.
