Dark and Darker is a popular indie game developed by Ironmace studio. It’s a combination of dungeon crawler and battle royale. The idea of the game really appealed to fans and the title attracts thousands of players every day. That is, of course, when you can play it, as it hasn’t had a release yet, but it does have occasional playtesting. It already offers the possibility of playing 1 of the 6 classes. However, fans are still missing at least one more character: the bard. In this article we will talk about it.
Dark and darker – Bard class
For now, there is no Bard class in the game. Unfortunately, lovers of this profession will have to wait. However, that doesn’t mean it will never appear. The developers mentioned that they would like to add it., and there is information about it in the description of the game on Steam. So it’s in the plans.
Ironmace doesn’t want to stick with the 6 classes already added (you can read more about them here). The Bard will likely be the next addition to the playable characters.. So be patient, especially as the release of Dark and Darker is coming soon (you can read more here).
This may be confusing for many new players, but for now many people refer to the barbarian class as “bard” for short. This will no doubt have to change when the real bard arrives in Dark and Darker.
Dark and Darker – bard class characteristics (speculation)
Barding will likely be a buff class. Therefore, they are unlikely to be suitable for solo play. Most likely a character similar to a combination of Rogue, Ranger, and Cleric. with an emphasis on light armor.
Players guess what the abilities and benefits of this class will look like. Personally, we like the idea that the bard can hide the footsteps of people in the immediate vicinity. It’s also an interesting concept that could grant powerful buffs, but at the cost of making noise and attracting surrounding mobs (and, by default, notifying other players as well). However, this is only speculation at the moment, so please wait for the official release of this class.
