When creating your character, you are presented with a decent variety of such options. Unlike previous Harry Potter titles, Hogwarts Legacy features a fairly comprehensive character creator that allows you to customize your character to your liking. You can choose your body type, hairstyle and hair color, eye color, voice tone and other customizations which are pretty standard in any game’s character creation but can you change your name once you’ve set it up?
Can you change your name at Hogwarts Legacy?
One of the most important choices when creating your character is, of course, choosing a name. Hogwarts Legacy characters have a first and last name, which are required upon creation. You can change many character customizations throughout the game, unlocking new skins along the way. However, it is extremely important to note that there is currently no way to change your character’s name in Hogwarts Legacy.
Much like the house assigned to you at the start of the game, your character’s name is a permanent assignment that will follow you throughout your journey, so you’ll need to choose wisely. Throughout the story, your character will regularly be referred to by first name and will be visible with your dialogue options if you have subtitles. Be sure to pick a name you won’t tire of seeing or regret later, because the only way to change your name is to create a new character and start your journey over.
