Call of Duty fans have been waiting impatiently for this day: season 2 of the battle royale is imminent and it is about to land with its usual batch of new features. One of the safe bets on which the Call of Duty license is increasingly relying for the different seasons of its multiplayer modes is collaborations. And the next one looks just as amazing as the previous ones!
It’s finally February 14 and the final two installments of Call of Duty, namely Warzone and Vanguardwill be entitled to fresh and more than welcome content! Last week, the American publisher took the time to lift the veil on the series of novelties that awaited uswhile keeping a few surprises according to recent leaks announcing a future collaboration that will be a landmark in the franchise’s battle royale.
Moreover, the future of the franchise becomes a little clearer because, on Friday evening, Activision has finally formalized the next two titles to be developed by Infinity Ward: Call of Duty Warzone 2 and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. The opportunity to learn some interesting details, an ideal way to wait for the next revelations. While waiting for the evolution of the battle royale, Activision is putting the package on the current version of Warzone. His new big shot? A potential appearance of a great American rapper within the game.
A featuring straight from the West Coast
Certainly, Call of Duty is not as fond of collaborations as Epic Games with Fortnite, but Activision is getting more and more into this area. At the beginning, the editor gave the spotlight to certain actors by having them embody a villain from one of the sections (Kevin Spacey, Kit Harrington or even Jon Bernthal), but Activision has begun to consider its collaborations from a new angle!
Most recently, a crossover with the manga and anime phenomenon the attack of the Titans has been revealed. Yet another example of new operator skins were introduced through the monitoring program of Call of Duty Warzone : Sylvester Stallone, in the guise of Ramboand Bruce Willis, through his cult character of John McClane, came to defourailler within the royal battle.
Except that this time, the atmosphere of Warzone will still be just as nervous, but also much cooler and calmer. The reason ? According to ZestyCodLeaks, a generally reliable leaker when it comes to the Activision license, rapper Snoop Dogg could land in the game thanks to an operator skin. The latter relayed his information by accompanying him with a concept art with the effigy of the friend of Dr. Dre.
If its introduction is indeed planned for season 2 of Call of Duty : Warzonewe should quickly be fixed: in the meantime, it is best to take his information with tweezers. But, surprisingly, this wouldn’t be the first time that Activision and Snoop Dogg have teamed up around the franchise: in 2013, the rapper lent his voice for an in-game voice pack. Call of Duty Ghost. However, this would be a great first for the license because, so far, no collaboration has been inspired by a real character.
