The Diablo 4 Open Beta has begun. Players are experiencing similar issues to a week ago, but on a slightly lower scale. Except for the tails, they got bigger. Bug 316719 also returned.

BOHICA, as they say. In other words, during Diablo IV’s main open beta, which kicked off at 5 p.m. today, the Players are experiencing similar issues as the early beta last week.

Diablo 4 beta – reported issues

inactive button

Some people can’t start the game because the “Play” button is inactive (try activating and deactivating the Battle.net app, it usually helps).

colas

Once you enter the game, on the other hand, there are quite long queues. On average, the waiting time is about an hour. However, it seems that some players are giving up, so the process may take a little less time.

There is no sound in the intro scene

Once you enter the game, a cutscene with Lilith will play. Some players are reporting that there is no sound, you can only hear the sound of rain in the background.

freeze the game

Dropping the game to the taskbar (Alt+Tab) often leads to a crash. So if you play, try not to.

Bug 316719 is back

Players are also complaining about the infamous error 316719. It appears at different times, sometimes during the game, other times already at the stage of character creation. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix it. Already last week, Blizzard made it clear that this was due to the instability of the Diablo IV server. So if you get this error, be prepared to queue again or play again at another time.

Improvement

Players also complain about the “resource-intensive” nature of Diablo IV for PC, noting that the game uses up to a dozen GB of RAM regardless of graphics settings. However, others claim that changing the settings significantly reduces the amount of RAM used, down to 6 GB. So maybe it depends on the configuration.

Of course, Blizzard warned of such issues. The situation seems to have normalized somewhat. and playing Diablo IV can be enjoyed without major issues.

As a reminder, I add that the open beta will last until March 27 (Monday) at 20:00 CET. The game is scheduled for June 6. It will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, XOne and XSX/S.
