During Sony’s “State of Play” event today, Larian Studios shared a new gameplay trailer announcing that Baldur’s Gate 3 It will be released on PS5, PC and Mac on August 31, 2023.
This latest Larian trailer in regards to Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a glimpse of the as-yet-unknown antagonist, the General Ketheric Thorma seemingly invincible necromancer who commands an army of the dead bound for the town of Baldur’s Gate – played by the same actor JK Simmons.
“Ketheric is a man with complex motivations and ambitions, so in researching who he would voice, we knew we had to work with a big-name actor who could provide nuanced characterization – so we cast JK Simmons (Whiplash). , Spiderman ). Although we expected it, we were surprised by the performance of JK Simmons who helped give depth to the character. The latest trailer for Baldur’s Gate 3 also includes several gameplay reveals:
- Split-screen cooperative mode: Play with up to two people on a PS5 in split-screen co-op mode, or play with up to four people online!
- Controller Compatibility: Baldur’s Gate 3 It only supported mouse and keyboard gameplay during its early access phase on Steam, but the new trailer offers a first look at what to expect with full controller support during of the launch of the game.

Everyone who participates in the Early Access version on PC (including everyone who purchases the game by launch) will have their game automatically upgraded to the Deluxe Edition.
