Less than a week after its release, Atomic Heart has already set a speedrun world record thanks to a player who completed the game in just 7 minutes.

Since its launch on February 21, Atomic Heart is definitely far from under the radar.. Indeed, whether because of its hypersexualized content or because of its racist caricatures, the title Mundfish continues to accumulate controversy, to the point of pushing the studio to speak up to publicly apologize. However, that doesn’t stop some players from enjoying this BioShock-like adventure, as evidenced by the impressive speedrun made by a youtuber.

This is already a speedrun record for Atomic Heart

Extremely widespread practice in the field of video games, the speedrun simply consists of completing a title as quickly as possible by using all the means at our disposal for this. AND It took deLINO less than a week to accomplish this with Atomic Heart, which he managed to complete in just 7 minutes and 6 seconds.. Suffice to say that this is a first world record for the game, of which the half-life is normally estimated at about fifteen hours according to data collected by HowLongToBeat.

Note however that this speedrun ignores the game’s long intro, because it only starts after the boat ride. That said, that takes nothing away from the beauty of this feat made possible by the discovery of many bugs by the community Now we just have to wait and see if someone manages to break this record, knowing that deLINO is being watched closely by fellow sprinter SeekerTV complete the adventure in 7 minutes and 9 seconds.

As a reminder, Atomic Heart is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is also included in the Game Pass catalog.
