Last month, Atomic Heart developer Mundfish took to Twitter to reveal that their upcoming FPS will be running at a dynamic pace. 4K/60FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5. At the time, the team didn’t tell us how Xbox Series S would handle things, but a new interview with the developer has now revealed all the juicy details.

To come to the point; Atomic Heart is aiming for “Full HD and 60FPS” on Xbox Series S consoles. That’s 1080p/60FPSwhich seems like a reasonable goal for maintaining a smooth frame rate on the Series S.

Elsewhere the interview touches on other details, like the game’s comparisons to BioShock and DOOM, but the other really standout point here is that ray tracing is missing at launch. The team says the console version of Atomic Heart will not contain RT “for now”, and there were no talks about future plans for the feature.

Currently, only one graphics mode is available in Atomic Heart, but aim for at least 60fps on all current-gen machines. The team didn’t discuss the Xbox One version here, but 30 FPS performance can be expected on the latest generation Xbox consoles.
