Pokémon has had many crazy and clever bunnies and bunnies designs over the years. With such a large list, there are probably some that stand out more than others, and some that we wonder if they can be considered a bunny Pokemon. Fans can’t get enough of cute monsters, and it works even better when they perform well in battle. Let’s take a look at all of the bunny and rabbit Pokémon in the series and rank them from worst to best.

All Rabbit and Bunny Pokemon Ranked Worst to Best

11. Whisper

We’re starting this list off with a pretty forgettable Pokémon that we’re not even entirely sure is a Rabbit. Whismur has bunny ears and would really fall into the rabbit category if I were to put a label on it. Although his eye design is super unique, Whismur is nothing memorable on its own. Its evolutionary line also strays too far from the Rabbit aesthetic, making this Pokemon the lowest on this tier list.

10. Male and female Nidoran

Nidoran Male and Female have the same issues as Whismur, but they make up for it by being adorable. They’re part of the original 151 Pokémon and are therefore much friendlier than Whismur, but their rabbit-like characteristics are offset by the fact that they have characteristics that become more reptilian as they evolve into their other forms. They are both absolutely cute, sporting bunny ears and bunny teeth. For these reasons alone, we have to put these rodents somewhere on the list.

9. Moved

Wigglytuff is described as a balloon Pokemon, but there’s no denying the bunny’s influence on its design. Another member of the original team, Wigglytuff, is a super memorable Pokémon due to its famous pre-evolution, Jigglypuff. Getting the sixth generation fairy type did wonders for this monster, but unfortunately it still lacks ease of use and prominent bunny-like features aside from its large, pointy ears. However, we are warming up.

8. Excavators

Diggersby is definitely a bunny, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to win any prizes for the best Pokemon bunny of all time. Diggersby is unique in that he gains a Ground subtype after evolving, but he also becomes a little less fun to watch. The Pokémon’s ears spinning almost like shovels is a nice touch, but we can’t escape the feeling that Diggersby seems to be up to something sinister. He also looks suspiciously like Bugs Bunny who ate too much chocolate and forgot to clean up afterward. The idea is great, but surely there are better rabbit Pokémon.

7. Bunnelby

Bunnelby has some of the same flaws as his evolution, but that’s offset by the fact that he’s absolutely adorable and has a much more authentic bunny appearance. Bunnelby outranks Diggersby simply by being cuter, as you’d obviously find more use for the floor writing in a competitive team. However, Bunnelby can defend at lower levels with ground attacks that don’t get the STAB bonus. It also featured prominently in the anime as one of Clemont’s Pokemon, boosting its cuteness tenfold.

6. Well

Buneary is an absolutely perfect design when it comes to incorporating clever ideas into a Pokemon. It’s obviously a bunny, but it also doubles as a dust bunny. It is infinitely adorable and reminds us of a stuffed toy. However, admiration alone cannot make it the best rabbit Pokémon. Buneary doesn’t have much to stand out in battle and doesn’t have a unique type to boost his prowess. Smart design can only take you so far.

5. Lopunny

Lopunny is a tall, sleek rabbit skin that also has the added bonus of being super useful in battle via its Mega Evolution. Lopunny has fantastic eyebrows and still maintains Buneary’s dusty bunny aesthetic. Mega Lopunny fuels all of this significantly by being a speedy S-tier attacker who can absolutely rage in the right competitive environment. While Mega Evolution isn’t part of Scarlet and Violet, we can’t forget the mark this Pokemon left on the meta years ago.

4. Scorbunny

Scorbunny is near perfect when it comes to starter Pokemon popularity. It has the advantage of being an adorable Fire-type Pokémon with a fearless attitude and the speed to help it fight competitive battles against other unevolved monsters. If you add the brave nature of this Pokémon from the animated series and its importance as a Go holder, it’s no surprise that Scorbunny makes the list of the best rabbit Pokémon.

3. Raboot

Raboot takes what’s already great with Scorbunny and doubles it. The Ninja design combined with a sporty style sets it apart with a unique style. When Scorbunny evolves into Raboot in the series, it develops an angsty adolescent demeanor that many find a bit aloof, but they can’t deny the appeal of this Pokemon’s design and fast pace in battle. It’s an improvement over the best parts of Scorbunny.

2. Cinderella

Cinderace is up there as one of the best bunny Pokémon on the exceptionally long list. It has an amazing design that combines a rabbit with a football player and fits well with the British theme of Sword and Shield where it debuted. People tend to like fast Pokemon, and Cinderella has managed to find a niche in the competitive scene due to her speed and powerful Fire attacks. Some fans are a little put off by its humanoid appearance, but this is one example where it works really well for aesthetics.

1.Azumaril

Azumarill is just an amazing Pokemon. While its first stage is actually more of a mouse, Azumarill is labeled a water bunny, and no one can deny that this Pokemon is exactly like that. Being on the Pokémon Gold and Silver list makes it instantly memorable, and the addition of its Fairy type over the years has only added to its popularity. Azumarill is also an overused powerhouse in combat, as its mix of types combined with its massive power capacity makes it a bulky and devastating physical attacker. It’s been used on many teams to take on Tera Raids on Scarlet and Violet, and has enjoyed its reign as the strongest and cutest bunny Pokemon for many years.
