Elden Ring takes a while to complete, so it is worth completing the best Elden Ring quests in this open world game. There are several ways to unlock the other Elden Ring endings; several of them require you to find a specific type of Great Rune called “Rune of Repair”. You get these runes from various quests, so it’s worth noting which ones you need to complete.
It goes without saying but This guide features major spoilers for the Elden Ring story, so only go there if you want to get the best ending in Elden Ring. If you can’t stand not knowing more, here are the six Elden Ring endings and the secret ending.
Here are the six endings of the Elden Ring:
- age of fractures
- age born at dusk
- Blessing of Despair
- order age
- Frenzied Flame Lord
- star age
End of the fracture era
This is the normal ending of the game, you must select “Repair the Elden Ring” to unlock this ending and become Lord Elden.
The End of the Twilight Age
In addition to the normal Late Age of the Fracture version, there are three variations, each requiring a different large “Mend” rune. You can choose to use a repair rune as the last option after defeating the last boss, which will unlock an ending variant.
The Age of Duskborn alternate ending is unlocked by using the Prince of Death’s Repair Rune. You get this large rune by completing Fia’s questline; you still start the new era as an Elden Lord, but the Midlands lose the curse of immortality as the Death Rune has been restored.
Blessing of Final Despair
Blessing of Despair’s alternate ending is unlocked by using the Mending Fallen Curse rune. You also start the new era as an Elden Lord, but use the rune on Marika and watch as a curse grips the Midlands. It’s not a good ending, but if you really want to curse the already cursed world, you need to complete the Dung Eater questline.
End of the era of order
Age of Order’s alternate ending is unlocked by using the Repair Rune of Perfect Order, obtained by completing the Goldmask and Brother Corhyn questline. It’s a simple yet satisfying ending, as you restore order to Middle-earth while simultaneously beginning a new era as Lord Elden, sitting on your golden throne enjoying much-deserved peace.
End of Frenzied Flame Lord
You don’t want this ending unless you want to become Lord of Frenzied Flame and reduce the world to stone. You won’t be judged (much). To unlock this ending, you must meet all three fingers when entering the Frenzy Flame door.
It’s important to note that you can’t unlock other endings once you’ve done this, but you can reverse it, although the process is very time consuming. To unleash you need to complete the Gowry and Milicent quests in Caelid and use Miquella’s Needle in the Dragonlord Placidusax boss arena in Crumbling Farum Azula.
Now that you know of its existence, you can try to avoid it, but if you’re still convinced and want to see all of your many hours and hard work ignite, literally.
Secret Ending of the Elden Ring – Star Age
To unlock the Elden Ring’s secret ending, you must complete Ranni’s questline. At the end of Elden Ring, you must choose to trigger the end of the Star Age by using a summon sign on the ground after defeating the final boss.
This allows Ranni to become God and replace Marika. You will become Ranni’s bride and ascend with her into the cosmos to free the lost souls trapped by the Erdtree.
