Walmart customers will be able to order products through the store’s app or website until 9:30 p.m. to have their order in 30 or 90 minutes
Walmart is launching a new overnight express delivery service. That is, the company will be able to make immediate deliveries until 10:00 at night.
With the Live Shoper feature, customers will be able to send text messages to a worker who functions as a shopper. People will be able to order products from him until 9:30 at night.
“Life doesn’t always go according to plan and Walmart understands that implicitly. That’s why we’re thrilled to offer online pickup and delivery at more than 4,000 stores nationwide and introduce our latest addition: overnight delivery,” said Tom Ward, Walmart’s executive vice president and head of e-commerce, according to Yahoo.
It should be noted that the company has not placed a limit on the number of items customers can order, but it will charge a $10 expedited shipping fee in addition to normal shipping costs.
Normal shipping costs are typically between $7.95 and $9.95.
Walmart+ subscribers will only pay the express rate, not the regular rate.
Customers will be able to select the overnight express order through the app or on the store’s website.
