Trae Bodge, shopping specialist at TrueTrae.com pointed out that these price differences are due, among other things, to the fact that each drugstore chain negotiates prices with suppliers, where some have a higher profit margin.
Although the specialists’ recommendation is that customers subscribe to the pharmacies’ loyalty programs to obtain discounts and promotions, since points can be accumulated or discount coupons can be obtained.
“Whatever pharmacy you shop at, if they have a loyalty program, make sure you sign up. It benefits you from every angle,” said Trae Bodge, shopping expert at TrueTrae.com.
