This is how Vicente Fernández’s posthumous album will be announced in the last hours by his family.
The album includes 20 of the 200 songs that ‘Chente’ Fernández recorded before his death.
Two years after his death, the legacy of Vicente Fernandez is kept alive with the arrival of a posthumous album “Vicente Fernandez sings to the great composers of Mexico”.
During a press conference held at Los Tres Potrillos Ranch, property of the so called “Charro de Huentitan”, Maria del Refugio Abarca, better known as Cuquita and wife of the late singer, announced the release of his new musical album.
“La Leyenda Sigue Viva. Thanks to those who joined us today at the press conference broadcast from Rancho Los Tres Potrillos. Tomorrow, listen to the new album ‘Vicente Fernández le canta a los grandes Compositores de México” with unpublished songs by the King,” stated the Mexican legend’s official account.
The record production includes 20 of the 200 songs that ‘Chente’ Fernández recorded before his death on December 12, 2021.
“I feel very happy and flattered to pay this tribute to Vicente, to bring out the music he left so that all his people don’t forget him, that they continue to listen to him, that you also continue to talk about him. I hope that the public remembers him a lot”, said María del Refugio in a press conference.
Songs such as ‘Un Millón de Primaveras’ by Joan Sebastian, ‘Un Viejo Amor’ by Alfonso Esparza Ote and ‘Aunque Tengas Razón’ by Consuelo Velázque are part of the selection of songs that the singer recorded for broadcast after his death.
“The day I retired from the Azteca stadium I told you that I would retire from the stage, but that I would continue recording my videos and singing in my company so that you would not stop loving me and would not forget me”, said Vicente Fernandez at the time.
It is important to remember that Vicente Fernández passed away on December 12, 2021, at the age of 81 after spending several months hospitalized in Guadalajara, his hometown.
The album will be available on all music platforms starting August 10 and the label will release a CD and vinyl version in the coming months.
