The Universal Orlando theme park in Florida incorporates into its entertainment offer two cinematographic escape adventures inspired by the films “Jurassic World: Jurassic World” and “Back to the Future”, the leisure company reported this Friday in a statement
Universal Orlando launches Universal’s Great Movie, its first cinematic escape room experience, now officially open at Universal CityWalk, the entertainment district of that Florida theme park.
The cinematic escape adventures of movies and series are usually carried out in stages with high quality lighting and specialized sound effects in order to make the room have credibility for the participant.
The statement details that Universal’s Great Movie Escape offers two cinematic escape adventures inspired by the films “Jurassic World: Jurassic World” and “Back to the Future”, each with eight environments that present challenges, detailed scenarios and stories that allow visitors to delve into those legendary films.
The project was made possible through collaboration with escape room industry experts and the filmmakers of the aforementioned films.
According to the statement, the result is an experience “that goes beyond the typical escape room”, which emerged as adventure games in which a group of people tried to get out of a room and later evolved into cinema.
The activities within both adventures include a random game, so the solution may vary with each visit.
Additionally, guests are required to complete tasks as part of an original story that is customized based on group size, ensuring everyone can participate to adjust for skill level and complexity.
The adventure begins when guests enter the art deco, theater-inspired venue, where they will immediately be swept away into “Jurassic World: Escape” or “Back to the Future: OUTATIME.”
In the first, guests are new geneticists in a secret laboratory on Isla Nublar, where they receive training that includes performing various tasks ranging from feeding ferocious dinosaurs to splicing together dinosaur DNA to create new genetic codes.
At one point they realize that a predator has broken free and therefore must work together to avoid becoming its prey.
In the second, visitors are transported to a museum in 1993, where they discover that “Back to the Future” antagonist Biff has stolen Doc Brown’s newest travel device to sabotage the space-time continuum.
The guests must work together to uncover Doc Brown’s clues as they travel through time to track down Biff and save the past and future before time runs out.
