The Avengers cycle seems well and truly over with Endgame and yet the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) continues to develop its particularly consistent lore. After WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier or even Black Widow which will be released in theaters on July 7, it’s Shang-Chi’s turn to come under the spotlight.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the upcoming Marvel House feature film has just found a release date – the film will land in theaters on September 1, 2021 – and of course, to celebrate this great event, Disney is offering us a trailer (available above) as well as a first poster (available below).

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will tell you the story of Shang-Chi, a Kung Fu master played on screen by Simu Liu (Blood and Water), who will have to face his dark past. And for that, only one choice is offered to him, to make his fists speak again.

This adaptation of the comics of the same name published for the first time in 1979 will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (States of Grace) and will invite you to find Tony Leung in the role of the Mandarin – the great villain that we have already seen in Iron Man 3 – but also Michelle Yeoh (Tiger and Dragon) and Awkwafina (Raya and the Last Dragon).
