Los Angeles – Kourtney Kardashian is happy with a slow life now. At 46, she told fans she works only once a week at most. Sometimes just once a month. This is far from the busy days of her sisters. She puts family first.
In the new episode of The Kardashians on October 30, Kourtney opened up. “I try to work one time a week. Or one time a month,” she said. It surprised many. The Kardashian family is known for non-stop work.
She made a fun exception. Her stepdaughter Alabama Barker, 19, asked for help. Alabama is Travis Barker’s daughter from his old marriage. She wanted Kourtney in a promo video for Twitch. “We are super close. I love to support her. I am glad she thinks I am cool enough,” Kourtney said with a smile.
Motherhood changed everything for her. She has four kids. Three with ex Scott Disick: Mason, 15; Penelope, 13; and Reign, 10. One baby with Travis Barker. In last season, she did a photo shoot with Kim for Dolce & Gabbana. It reminded her why she stepped back. “It was fun with Kim. But I want big clothes now. I am not in show-my-body mode,” she said. “No gym for me. My focus is baby, kids, and Travis on tour. I am not that girl anymore.”
Kourtney cut back on public life long ago. By the end of Keeping Up with the Kardashians after 20 seasons, she was tired of cameras. A friend told People she films less now. “She is happy for herself and the kids,” the source said. As kids grow, she protects them more from fame.
This caused fights with sisters. Kim once said Kourtney lacks strong work ethic. It was a big argument on the show. Kourtney hit back online. “Raising kids is work too. It is the hardest and best job I have,” she wrote.
Away from lights and shoots, Kourtney enjoys quiet days. Marriage to Travis, family time, and small projects make her content. Fame is not her goal anymore. Fans see her choice as smart. What about you? Family over work sounds good to many.
