PSG told AFP that Di María was one of two players who were robbed while the game was taking place.

A source close to the investigation told AFP on Monday that although the robbery took place in front of Di María’s family, at their home in Hauts-de-Seine, there was no violence.

Citizen Free Press has reached out to representatives for Di María and prosecutors in Paris for comment. PSG has yet to comment.

Di María was replaced by compatriot Leandro Paredes in the 62nd minute and was immediately escorted down the stadium tunnel. The midfielder later returned to the bench.

The Argentine’s house was not the only one to be robbed during match time.

They rob the house of the parents of Marquinhos

The home of the club’s captain’s parents, Marquinhos, was also raided, in the presence of his family, according to a statement on behalf of the Brazilian defender.

Marquinhos gestures during PSG’s Champions League game against Barcelona earlier this month.

“No one was injured, everyone is fine and recovering from the shock. The French authorities have launched an investigation, “the statement added.

Following Sunday’s game, in which PSG lost 2-1 and fell three points behind league leaders Lille, coach Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media.

“There are situations outside of football that must be taken into account,” he said. “I think the players are the first to be aware, like us, of the disappointment of having lost three points, but there are other things that concern the group.

“They are worried not only about defeat, but about things they probably already know.

“It’s not an excuse, but there was an unusual power drop.”

PSG were leading at halftime with a goal from Julian Draxler, but goals from Randal Kolo Muani and Moses Simon in the second period gave Nantes a seemingly unlikely victory over the French champions.
