The Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny won the Billboard award for best Latin artist this Sunday during the ceremony that took place in Los Angeles. This is the second consecutive year that the Puerto Rican has won this same category.

In a speech completely in Spanish, the reggaeton player thanked the Latino community that has supported him since the beginning of his artistic career and sent a message of understanding and empathy.

“Thank you, love each other, love each other more, do not waste energy hating anyone. You have to learn to be more understanding with others, love and love each other more, it’s free,” said Bad Bunny.

“Thank you very much to all the fans throughout the world, especially to the Latinos who have always loved and supported me,” said Benito Antonio Martínez, known musically as Bad Bunny.

Other reggaeton artists such as J Balvin, Anuel AA, Maluma, and Ozuna were also nominated in this category.

Bad Bunny, who performed during the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, also won Best Latin Male Artist and Best Latin Song for his hit “Dakiti,” featuring Jhay Cortez.
