“Copa vacía” marks the first collaboration between the two Colombian artists.

Shakira and Manuel Turizo confirmed their first collaboration, “Copa vacía,” which they will release on June 29.

“We made a movie,” the Colombian artists advanced on social networks on Monday (June 19), sharing a poster that looks like something out of a movie with Shakira in the role of the mermaid and Turizo as the prince.

Shakira first hinted at the new song on June 9, when she posted a photo of herself as a mermaid with a cryptic caption: “You want thingamabobs? I got twenty…,” part of the lyrics to “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid. But he offered no further details, leaving fans wondering what he was up to. Now, they know they’re in for a new song with the “La bachata” singer and a music video that promises to be a cinematic experience.

“Copa vacía” will follow Shakira’s sweet song “Acróstico,” a love letter to her children. The “Acróstico” music video, released in May, features her two sons, Milan and Sasha, singing and playing the piano alongside her.

“This year Milan has written songs that brought tears of emotion to my eyes and Sasha has spent hours at the piano, discovering his voice,” Shakira wrote on social media when the video was released. “They have both shared by my side in the studio and upon hearing this song dedicated to them they have asked me to be a part of it. They have felt and interpreted it by themselves and for themselves, with the passion and feeling of the one who carries the music inside.”

In May, Shakira was also honored as Woman of the Year at the inaugural Billboard Women in Music gala, where she gave an emotional speech in which she acknowledged the difficult times she has gone through and thanked her mother, her friends and women in general.
