Today, September 12, the central ceremony of the MTV Video Music Awards 2021 took place and Justin Bieber was the winner of the Best Artist of the Year category.
The Canadian singer attended the gala and took the main stage of the Barclays Center in New York to give a speech.
Bieber, accepting the highest honor, made sure to give a special mention to his wife Hailey Bieber when he said: “I look over here and I see my beautiful wife and I just want to say that I love you very much.”
At these words, the model showed surprise and covered her face with her hands. After getting calm, she started laughing and sent her husband a flying kiss.
Bieber took home the Artist of the Year award after beating other artists on the list such as Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift, who were also among the nominees.
In his acceptance speech, Justin referred to how tough the past year has been due to the pandemic and also thanked all those who have impacted his life, such as his parents.
