The singer explained that ADHD Adderall was her drug of choice at the time.
“It was never as wild as the press made it out to be,” Spears said of the time she was photographed with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, according to the New York Times.
Although she had no interest in hard drugs and “never had a drinking problem” – in her words – the pop star admitted to taking Adderall for a long time. “[It] got me high, yes, but what I found much more interesting was that it gave me a few hours of feeling less depressed,” she wrote.
Last year, Britney claimed that her mother, Lynne Spears, once slapped her “hard” for staying out late with Hilton and Lohan.
“The first time I got slapped was that night Paris and Lindsay left me at my beach house with my babies. My mom was taking care of Jayden and Preston… yes, I partied until 4 in the morning and my mom got upset! I walked in, she took one look at me and hit me so hard I’ll never forget it!”
Lynne, 68, did not respond to the complaint, although she had publicly apologized days earlier for causing “pain” during Britney’s 13-year guardianship.

Bombastic revelations from her biography, The Woman in Me, which will be released on October 24th, have been leaked to the international press in recent days. In other excerpts published by People magazine, the singer said that she got pregnant by Justin Timberlake when they were dating – at the time they were 19 years old.
“I loved Justin very much. I always hoped that one day we would have a family together. That would be much sooner than I expected. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He didn’t want to be a father. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young,” she began.
She continued: “I’m sure people will hate me for it, but I agreed not to have the baby. I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left to me alone, I would never have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

Britney Spears also said that she was betrayed by Justin Timberlake in a relationship with another celebrity. According to TMZ, Britney doesn’t mention the woman’s name in her book, because now the person “has a family that [Spears] doesn’t want to embarrass”.
Britney and Justin dated from 1999 to 2002. When they broke up, Timberlake released the music video for Cry Me a River, leading many to believe that Spears, now 41, had been unfaithful during their time together.
