The Mexican Angelica Vale will have her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a tribute to her 43-year career. An award that she will share with the iconic Angélica María, her mother, who has already been recognized.

“I would like to be next to my mother, of course. It would be a beautiful tribute to be together, as we have always been.” The actress told the Efe agency, who was very excited for the star, which will be a reality in 2022.

Last week the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which manages the stars of the Walk of Fame, announced that the actress’s name would appear in the famous place in Los Angeles where the great figures of film and music are.

Vale, born in Mexico City in 1975, was visibly moved and one of the reasons for the greatest joy for her is that, having made her career in Spanish, they had considered her.

“One does not believe that people who speak English turn to see what you are doing. So, suddenly they give me this recognition for my work in Spanish, the truth is that it feels beautiful”, said the actress, who participated in productions such as “The most beautiful ugly” (2006) or “The Parody” (2018).

Starting in 2022, mother and daughter will have their stars and Vale, who heard the news while being with her mother and by surprise from her husband, said that both Angelica María and she burst into tears when they found out.

“I think that for my mother this (star) is more special than hers. Now that I understand what it feels like to be a mother, I think this inspires her more than her own star, because if my daughter were ever given a star or some recognition, I would feel even more excited than her”, she added.

In addition, she is the third Mexican woman under 50 years of age to be recognized with this mention, along with Thalía and Salma Hayek, for which she thanked the jury for being selected despite doing work in Spanish.
