Ralf Rangnick will not continue at Manchester United. The German coach, who served as interim coach after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after landing at Old Trafford in December 2021, will not combine the position of advisor with that of Austria coach.

Rangnick was going to join the ‘red devils’ sports organization chart until 2024 at the end of the course as an advisor, taking over from Erik ten Hag on the bench. He resigned from the technical direction of the team after an irregular season in which United finished sixth, in Europa League positions. However, the German will dedicate himself exclusively to being coach of Austria, the country with which he signed in April. Now, he debuts against Croatia, Denmark and France in Group A1 of the Nations League.

«By mutual agreement, Ralf will now focus solely on his new role as coach of the Austrian national team and will therefore not take on an advisory role at Old Trafford. We would like to wish Ralf the best of luck in this next chapter of his career,” United said.
