Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that he hopes to be protected from coronavirus, thanks to the vaccine Sputnik V, after one of his close collaborators, also vaccinated, fell ill, forcing the Russian president to isolate himself.

“I hope that everything happens as it should, and that the Sputnik V really show its high level of protection against covid-19″, said Putin in a videoconference with leaders of his party and his government, broadcast on television.
