After rumors of an imminent announcement of Life is Strange 3 were circulating on the Internet a few weeks ago, a new leak is now making the rounds, which allegedly reveals the first details about the successor’s story.
As already suspected, Dontnod Entertainment will no longer be responsible for the new project. Instead, Deck Nine takes care of the series, who already had experience with Before the Storm.
According to the leak, Square Enix will no longer be numbering the series. Internally, the game is said to be called “Life is Strange: True Colors”. As with the two predecessors, the story is to be told in five episodes.
The main role is to take on Alex – an American with Asian roots who can read the minds of other characters with her ability.
Different emotions should be recognizable as a colored cover – matching the name of the title. Similar to Part 1, the sequel should be located in a slightly smaller city in the USA. The topic of music should also play an even more important role in the game of Deck Nine. Life is Strange’s announcement is said to be coming soon.
Apart from part 3, the insider also writes about a project that is supposedly still in preproduction. Here Max and Chloe from the first story should be in the foreground again.
However, because the insider has not heard from this game for some time, it is not yet entirely clear whether the sequel may remain just an idea for the time being. We’ll keep you posted when there are new details about Life is Strange.
