They are followed by social network management, with 30% of the demand.

The website and SEO are two of the most demanded digitization tools by the hospitality industry, said Tuesday the digital solutions company QDQ.

The group has drawn up a list of the “digital kit” tools most requested by the hospitality sector, among which are the website and advanced internet presence, with a 40% share.

They are followed by social network management, with 30% of demand, while at the bottom of the ranking are e-commerce, data storage, virtual office and electronic invoicing.

The group’s Director of Alliances and Sales, Xavier Cortés, highlighted in a note that “sustainability and digitalization are two of the main growth levers of the sector that contribute to maintaining the international leadership position it holds”.

Cortes has justified the low interest of the hospitality industry in e-commerce because this tool does not have a differential value in businesses that have not reached a certain level of maturity or do not have the logistics to be able to assume sales through this channel as, for example, restaurants that do not serve at home.

Regarding the possibility of having a digitalizing agent to accompany these companies during the process, he has assured that an adaptation of the whole system and staff training strategies are required to make use of the new solutions in order to “extract the maximum performance of the tools in the right way”.
