There is no escape row of saints sadly, it didn’t live up to many gamers’ expectations when it arrived last year, but the developers have been trying to improve the game ever since, and that effort will continue into 2023.
Earlier this week, Volition revealed the Saints Row 2023 roadmap, confirming that the game will receive new content between May and August this year. This includes three DLC expansions, along with a ton of free content.
Here is the full roadmap at a glance:
On this page:
- HE CAN
- JULIO
- AUGUST
HE CAN
The Heist and The Hazardous Campaign DLC – comes with the expansion pass
Sunshine Springs New District – Free for all players
Quality of life update including Selfie mode, battle improvements and MUCH more, free for all players
JULIO
New Murder Circus game mode from Doc Ketchum – comes with the expansion pass
Quality of Life Update: More to Reveal, Free for All Players
AUGUST
expansion 3 – Campaign DLC – included in Expansion Pass
New Neighborhood – more to reveal – Free for all players
Quality of Life Update: More to Reveal, Free for All Players
Volition says these upcoming expansions will include “new campaign missions, gameplay, weapons, vehicles, cosmetics, and more in new and well-rehearsed parts of Saint Unharmed,” and you’ll be able to buy them separately or in part of the Saints Row Expansion Pass.
Plus, as you can see, the new areas of the city will be free for all Saints Row players, “meaning everyone will have the chance to explore all-new areas of Santo Ileso this year and the meetings and activities of the world that go with it.” This”.
The team hasn’t given up on improving the base game in general either:
“While there is a lot of content on the way for our Expansion Pass players, we are still working hard to refine the Saints Row experience through more quality of life updates, ongoing bug fixes and updates. Community-requested features including a photo mode, revamped combat, a new emote system and more.
Ultimately, there’s a lot of good stuff on the way, and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed that Volition can bring more life to the Saints Row franchise in the months to come.
