Saugus High School was closed Friday following a “report of an assault with a deadly weapon,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
“Officers are actively searching the campus,” but no details of the investigation have been released so far. “So far, no victims have been found,” according to the post on Twitter.
A message posted on the school’s official website reads: ‘Saugus HS has been taken into custody while police conduct a search of the campus to verify a security issue. Please don’t come to campus. The police are on the spot. The situation appears to be calm and we will provide more information as soon as possible.”
In November 2019, two students, aged 14 and 15, were killed when a classmate opened fire on the school. Three other students were injured.
